The Company
We’re working with a successful, multi-disciplined Main Contractor based in Surrey, delivering a wide variety of projects across residential, commercial, education, healthcare, retail, and leisure sectors throughout the South East.
With a strong pipeline secured for the next 12–18 months and ambitious growth plans in place, they’re looking to appoint an experienced Bid Writer to join the team and take ownership of quality bid submissions across the business.

This is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking contractor with a strong reputation and a real focus on long-term career development.

The Role – Bid Writer
You’ll be responsible for managing the end-to-end bid process, from PQQs and ITTs to client liaison and final submission. Working closely with estimating, pre-construction and commercial teams, you’ll coordinate high-quality proposals and ensure compelling, well-structured responses are submitted on time.

  • Collaborate with Business Development and Marketing teams
  • Use Adobe InDesign to create visually compelling, well-designed documents

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of bid processes and materials
  • Attend client meetings and support with presentations as needed
  • Maintain and develop the Salesforce client database
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience writing successful bids for main contractors
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines under pressure
  • Confident using Adobe InDesign
  • Proactive, well-organised and commercially aware
  • A team player with a competitive edge and desire to win work
  • Comfortable working flexibly between office, home and occasional site visits
We'd love to hear from you if you’re a Bid Writer looking to step into a long-term role within a growing, supportive business.
