Location: Office-based in Hertfordshire, with site visits required
Salary: Up to £80k
Car Allowance: £500 per month

The Company
We are working exclusively with a growing housebuilder who is looking for a Senior Technical Manager to join their team as they expand their pipeline of residential developments across the region. With multiple live and upcoming sites ranging from 3 to 35+ units, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Technical Manager to take ownership of the technical function and help shape its future.
The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to work with an ambitious and fast-growing developer, initially working alongside an outgoing Senior Technical Manager, with the longer-term potential to build and develop the function. The successful candidate will be part of a tight-knit construction team, sitting alongside Surveyors, the Contracts Manager, Buyer, Construction Director, and After Sales Manager, while reporting directly to the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Technical Manager
- Lead the technical coordination between design, commercial, and construction teams.
- Manage external consultants and ensure technical approvals (S38, S104, S278, NHBC, Building Control, Planning).
- Chair design and coordination meetings to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide technical support to site teams, troubleshooting design and construction challenges.
- Ensure accuracy and quality in technical drawings, taking pride in maintaining high standards.
- Oversee technical processes from early-stage land acquisitions through to project completion.
- Strong background in housebuilding technical management, with experience across the full project lifecycle.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, including consultants, site teams, and senior management.
- Experience with residential developments, including planning conditions and technical approvals.
- Lives within an hour of Letchworth to be office-based with site visits as required.
- Competent, detail-oriented, and able to take ownership of the technical function.
