The Company:
Our client is a highly reputable residential main contractor based in Central London who have been in the industry since 2017. Specialising in high-end refurbishments and fit-outs of residential and commercial buildings, they are seeking an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor to join their team and aid in the successful delivery of these projects with values up to £20M.
You will be working alongside the Senior Quantity Surveyor and office team of circa 15 heads in Central London and will be involved in projects in prime areas of London including Mayfair, Marylebone, Kensington & Chelsea.
Our client is a huge advocate for internal growth and promotions and can demonstrate many examples of employees working their way up to a senior level in the business.
The role of the Quantity Surveyor:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Tendering and estimating.
- Procurement of key packages.
- Fully understanding detail and specialist requirements.
- Recommendation reporting of specialists.
- Package management including variation and commercial management of change.
- Attend and Lead commercial meetings with suppliers/ subcontractors
- Support Project team.
- Lead Client Valuation Meetings (prepare and submit client valuations
- Develop and share supply chain which they have built up over years in the industry.
- Work autonomously on their own project leading it from inception to grave.
- Cash Flow Reporting.
- Commercial reporting to the Directors: Monthly CVRs & commercial strategy advice on positioning.
To be successful as a Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you will need to possess the following:
- 2+ years’ experience working on residential and/or commercial new builds or refurbishments/ redevelopments.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar.
- High-End experience would be looked upon extremely favourably.
- Ability to deal with people at all levels.
- Well-presented & confident.
